Sue has a wealth of experience in the education sector, as a teacher, school leader and now as a Leadership and Team Coach. As a headteacher of an outstanding school, Sue spent five years growing individuals and teams, managing significant change, developing a values-based organisation and achieving excellent outcomes for all stakeholders. Having ‘walked the walk’, Sue’s passion for supporting school leaders is now her mission and the reason for the work she does in schools.
Sue specialises in coaching leaders, and also other staff who play significant roles within schools. Whether working with senior leaders, middle leaders or newly-qualified teachers, Sue brings her coaching expertise and experience, in a wide range of educational settings, to focus explicitly on what is at the core of the individual, team or organisation – supporting people to discover what is driving them forwards, what their motivators are – and what is holding their growth back. She challenges her coachees, with support and kindness, to look beyond ‘what they do’ and ask themselves ‘how to be’.
After headship, Sue qualified from Henley Business School in 2016 with a Distinction in the Professional Certificate in Coaching. She is also a certified NLP Practitioner and runs a private coaching practice for children and young people with a focus on improving their wellbeing and developing resilience.
