How confident is your handshake with your audience? with Ges Ray
17th January 2020 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm£20.00
You can’t get out of it now. Your name is being mentioned. In three minute’s time you have to leave the security of your chair, walk to the front of the room, face your audience and speak. Not just speak but speak in public. Public Speaking. How are you feeling? Why is your heart racing, your stomach…ok, let’s not go there. What can you do about it?
In this practical, interactive – and fun! – workshop you will practise fundamental, effective techniques to build your confidence in public speaking, and just as importantly, your audience’s confidence in you as a speaker. We will work on:
- Your initial contact, effectively your ‘handshake’ with your audience
- Gaining your audience’s attention
- Maintaining your audience’s attention
In a supportive, constructive, atmosphere – where no one is judging you! – you will put these fundamental techniques into practice, building your public speaking skills with your workshop colleagues.
The team feedback may also provide you with an interesting slant on how you describe your own business…
