Executive Coach or Life Coach? Coach or Therapist ? How far should we stretch the concept of wellbeing? My journey to becoming a Mental Health trainer and sharing my experience at deciding which role was most appropriate.
Like physical first aid, mental health first aid training provides knowledge and skills at a level for any adult member of the public who wishes to give initial first aid of assistance . The skills can also come in useful in looking after our own wellbeing as people and as coaches.

Anne-Louise Pemberton – Facilitator, Coach, Consultant
5 years ago AL became interested specifically in the relationship between resilience in a professional environment and resilience in ones personal life. This has led to her becoming first a MH First Aider and then an accredited trainer to complement both her training and coaching.
She is the provider for Maytrix which is run by Hannah Ingram Moore.
Over and above individual wellbeing she is interested in the implementation of MH strategies within organisation.
Following a career in front line operational roles, learning and development, with 20 years’ experience as a leadership, and change management facilitator. Positive psychology is central to her training programmes. ALP specialises in the client experience, performance management, leadership, and communication.
She is also an independent recruitment associate. As part of a group convened by the Department for Education Anne-Louise is regularly invited to speak at national education conferences about safeguarding in recruitment.
She is focussed on helping others reach their full potential in a variety of ways.
In a pre-Covid world ALP has travelled extensively and worked around the world, currently based in West London.
