Coaching for Resilience with Julia Philpott
24th April 2020 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm£20.00
What do we mean by resilience? What makes people resilient? How do we develop resilience in our clients? What are our own resilience resources?
These are just some of the questions we will be exploring in this interactive and thought-provoking session on Coaching for Resilience.
This session will help coaches explore the topic of resilience and work with several tools for building resilience both in themselves and their clients.
At the end of the session, participants will have:
- Determined what resilience means in the context of the modern workplace
- Explored the different concepts of emotional and mental resilience
- Practiced using several tools for building resilience habits
- Discussed the wider context of resilience – what are the conditions that need to be in place?
- Committed to make one change in their coaching practice in relation to resilienc
We will discuss how the increased focus on wellbeing in the workplace has put drawn resilience into the spotlight. Individuals are increasingly being expected to be aware of and manage their own resilience levels (with or without help from the organisation).
We will explore how both our emotions and our thought processes are involved in our ability to manage our levels of resilience. We will investigate ‘hot’ and ‘cold’ emotions and how we can develop self-awareness and self-management around these. Also, how we can identify unhelpful thought patterns and replace them with more positive ones.
This will be a very interactive session with lots of opportunity to discuss and practice ideas. The aim is to facilitate the session with a very ‘light touch’ to enable the expertise in the room to also be shared.
